Most of the children who are addicted to smart gadgets have to face many health issues like obesity, vision, and hearing problems.
They feel lonely as they caught off themselves from society. Additionally, they start behaving rudely.
If this continues for an extended period, they may go into depression as no gadget help them in their bad times.
Eventually, they have no one near to speak with or to listen to them.
Mobile Phone Addiction in Children | Root Causes
Here I am trying to find out some possible solutions. It’s well said that “it’s never too late.” If we want an effective and robust solution, we have to determine the root cause of the problem.
If we can find out the answer to the question—Why our children addicted to this? – we can get the solution. We all the parents should take responsibility for this problem. Me too. I mean, we should admit that due to our busy schedules, or you can say work pressure, it’s almost impossible for us to handle the child patiently or playfully. So it’s accessible for us to keep them busy with gadgets and it creates mobile phone addiction in children.
Some of you may argue that it also provides a lot of knowledge at their fingertips. Really? Is it?
We are making them a parasite than wise. Due to various facilities available nowadays students became very poor in their word power or simply I can say spelling. They are using so many short forms, which will never be accepted in any written document.
Their craziness towards their gadgets sometimes hurt the elders unknowingly.
Smart Gadget Addiction in Children | Solution
Now let’s discuss the possible solutions.
1) If I say that we have to give much time to our children, then it sounds very impractical and irritating. We can at least try to regularly spend some fixed time though we have to sacrifice something.
2) Try to involve your child in his/her passion. Like, induce them to join art, dance, singing, instrumental, or any online classes of their own choice.
3) Slowly attract them towards the habit of reading books than watching videos.
4) Allow them to spend time with their friends personally, and you also can call some of their friends to your house in your presence.
5) Be a good listener. Even if you have no interest, you have to show interest so they can feel free to share anything with you.
In this way, you can reduce phone addiction in children to some extent.
Conclusion
Parents were the best judge of their children. Every child has different nature and way to react. So only the parents can help their children to get rid of this mobile phone addiction.
At last, let’s take the oath that we will never allow our child to depend on any lifeless machine than us.
Thank you
